Chelsie and Burton live in the Greater Bangor area and doing their engagement session around their home was special to them. Chelsie and Burton also wanted to include their two adorable and playful dogs, which I was thrilled about. The dogs may have stolen the show for the first 15 minutes of the session but it was so worth it! Chelsie and Burton are both into sports and they included their favorite team into their outfits. I met Chelsie when she was a bridesmaid in a previous wedding. When she and Burton got engaged I was thrilled that she wanted me to be part of their big! This area in Maine has a lot of different areas that provide beautiful and unique locations for photos. We were able to shoot in a field with hay bales, an apple orchard, a pumpkin patch and an area with wild weeds. They were both excited for their engagement session and it definitely showed in their photos! They were up for any location or idea that I had, even when it included getting on top of a hay bale or climbing into a field of high weeds! We also chased the sun as it was setting for our final location. Even though this can be nerve wracking, I honestly love it! After the session I was able to spend time talking wedding details with Chelsie and getting more of a sense of how wonderful their wedding is going to be. Creating this special relationship with my clients is one of the reasons I love being a wedding photographer and can honestly say that my brides become my friends throughout the wedding planning process. I am so excited to share their session and I cannot wait for their wedding this coming fall in Aroostook County!
