Nicky and Tom’s Newmarket engagement session this winter was nothing short of amazing. When I first met with Nicky and Tom, they mentioned wanting to do a winter engagement session. Even though temperatures are always cold in New England in the winter, I absolutely love shooting winter sessions. When thinking about locations within the Newmarket area to have their session, Nicky and Tom decided on the frozen river by Tom’s grandfather’s house in Newmarket – the exact place where they will be holding their wedding this fall. They are both outdoorsy people and decided to theme their engagement session around something they both like to do, ice fish. I had never been ice fishing before their session so I was so excited… we didn’t catch anything, unfortunately, but now I can at least say I have gone ice fishing! They also included their dog (Pepsi) as well as Tom’s uncle’s dog (Jetta) – I think the dogs had just as much fun as we did! Despite the sun shining, it was extremely cold out but honestly I think the three of use realized how cold it was until our fingers and noses were bright red. I cannot wait to see what Newmarket looks like in the fall! I am so excited for their big day!

If Newmarket is this pretty in the winter, I can’t wait to see it when snow isn’t on the ground!
