Kelsey and Peter’s Woodstock Inn wedding photos are what winter wedding dreams are made of! These two planned a winter wedding right before Christmas time and it was absolutely stunning. From the character of the Woodstock Inn, which was compete with Christmas trees, to the emotion felt by everyone one celebrating with this couple, it was a perfect wedding day! The grounds at the Woodstock Inn were the perfect place for Kelsey and Peter’s photos together. Due to the limited amount of daylight and their ceremony time, they decided they wanted to do a first look. I always encourage couples to do a first look before their ceremony for many reasons. For Kelsey and Peter, their photos were so important to them, they felt a first look was the way to make sure they had outside photos together. It allowed us to photograph them during the golden hour and made for stunning Woodstock Inn wedding photos!    The  smoldering fire pit made for really unique smoke behind them!    After their first look and family formals, we snuck across the street to take photos at the iconic covered bridge in downtown Woodstook. The addition of the Christmas wreath and the golden light has made these bride and groom portraits some of my absolute favorites! As we were taking their portraits this  family was watching and cheering from a distance.  They  asked if they could get a photo with Kelsey and Peter and of  they  said  “Yes!”.  This was a first for me! Totally swooning over these Woodstook Inn wedding photos. Kelsey and Peter was so amazing to withstand the cold air and wind for these photos!
Kelsey and Peter was so comfortable and relaxed their entire wedding day. It may have been because they were super photogenic, excited to be finally saying “I do”,  or that they had been photographed by me in the past. I had the honor of meeting Kelsey and Peter while they were just dating. They visited the White Mountains for winter get away and I photographed them during their trip (another cold session). Not too long after this trip, they got engaged. Kelsey was super quick to send me a text with the news! Having this connection with my couples makes my job even more amazing. I was able to see their love story unfold and then was able photograph them on one of their biggest days in their relationship. Just thinking about it makes me tear up!

The Woodstock Inn at Christmas time is just magical. There are twinkle lights, red ribbons, and greenery everywhere! Their is also a huge gingerbread house in the lobby. Seriously, this place is a must see around Christmas time!
Who needs a seating chart when you have a Christmas tree with ornaments for every guest! I absolutely love this idea.Towards the end of their wedding reception guests headed outside to enjoy a s’more.
Woodstock Inn Wedding Photos in the winter
To complete their Woodstock Inn wedding photos, we had to go to the front of the inn for some night time photos. How you could not when it looked like this?!
