Right after I moved to the metropolitan area of Boston I received an email from a very enthusiastic bride, Kruti. After emailing back and forth for weeks, I could not wait until the day of their Boston elopement. Kruti and Sagar decided to have a small group of their friends and family gather at city hall in Boston to watch them exchange their wedding vows. Kruti and Sagar, both from India, were also in the middle of planning their elaborate Indian wedding, which happened in India a couple months after their elopement. Boston holds a special place in both of their hearts. It was the place where their relationship began to grow and thrive. It was a no brainer for them to include Boston into their marriage somehow. The staff at city hall was so nice and let all of Kruti and Sagar’s guests into the small room where the ceremony took place; they normally only allow 4-5 people. It may have been standing room only but I don’t think anyone minded! After the ceremony, I escaped to the waterfront with them. During this time, even though it was short, I got to know them and their love story. These two are so crazy for each other! I don’t think either one of them stopped smiling or laughing! I also got a quick lesson on Indian weddings and the complexity that they involve. We ended our time in Quincy Market and then they escaped to a local restaurant to celebrate.
