Wildcat Creek Park Anniversary Session:
When your best friend is also a photographer and lives in a different part of the country, it is a no brainer that a lot of photography happens when you get together. This past spring I made my way out to Kansas for a wedding and my best friend, Darryl Ann, was still living there (she is now in Seattle). Every time we see each other, we always make a point of visiting different areas, this time it was Wildcat Creek, which is located on the outskirts of Manhattan. For this planned photography session, Darryl Ann and Joe, from Salt & Pine Photography, and I planned a romantic picnic themed couple’s session. We asked Cassandra and her wife Emilee to model for us and they didn’t hesitate to say yes! Surprisingly, this Wildcat Creek Park anniversary session coordinated around their 3rd wedding anniversary! Cassandra and Emilee have a sweet and playful relationship and it was a joy to photograph them. They also both enjoy a great glass of wine and brought alone their wine glasses from their wine ceremony they had at their wedding, the glasses made a perfect touch. They popped a bottle of wine and had a picnic in the middle of Wildcat Creek Park. I can’t thank Cassandra and Emilee enough for allowing the three of us to photograph them! It can be overwhelming to have multiple cameras pointed at you and they were amazing!! So, happy (belated) wedding anniversary Cassandra and Emilee!
The addition of their wine glasses from their wedding, along with the wooden box, was the perfect touch to this picnic themed anniversary session.
Seriously, aren’t they the sweetest!?! I loved how Cassandra and Emilee interacted with each other. They smiled and laughed the whole time, it was amazing to photograph two people so in love!
