Theresa and I spoke for months about her and Jeremy’s Rye Beach engagement session. From the beginning, I knew this couple was going to be a blast to work with. Theresa’s emails were always upbeat! When she spoke about their ideas for their intimate destination wedding, I knew these two had adventurous souls and more importantly were so incredibly in love. Deciding on a beach for their engagement photos was a no brainer for them and Rye Beach was the perfect backdrop!
Their Story:
They met in Rhode Island in the summer of 2009, not for the intention of dating. They were introduced to each other by Jeremy’s brother. Theresa was smitten at first sight and was attracted to Jeremy’s sense of humor instantly. Jeremy was attracted to Theresa’s genuine personality and a few short months later, they officially started their relationship. Shortly after they started dating they adopted their adorable little dog, Jackson. They were completely infatuated with each other and their new furry addition. They had created a little family. It didn’t take them long to realize that this was a once in a lifetime kind of love and in 2011, Jeremy proposed to Theresa at her 21st surprise birthday party he had planned.
You would never guess it but Jackson LOVES to hike with them! They take him as often as they can and love exploring new places with him.
Theresa and Jeremy love being outside, whether that be biking miles together or hiking. They also love to explore New England and often take weekend trips to new places whenever they can. They are also foodies and are always up for traveling to a new restaurant.
I have shot at Rye Beach many times but this Rye Beach engagement is definitely among my favorite sessions there! The beach was almost vacant and cold and the clouds were so incredibly perfect.
Jeremy and Theresa decided on a destination wedding so that they could have an intimate ceremony with their family. They didn’t want the stress of having a big wedding and wanted their wedding to be more private and intimate. Their wedding will actually take place on their dog’s birthday.
I absolutely love shooting at Rye Beach for engagement photos. The beach and rocks nearby are so incredibly gorgeous and the sunset is always swoon worthy.
I appreciated their willingness to climb all over the rocks. Their adventurous side really showed throughout this entire session. I had to say many times, “don’t do that if you think it is/looks dangerous!”. They didn’t hesitate and we got so many awesome engagement photos because of it!
I am so excited for these two as they start the next part of their love story! It was such a pleasure to shoot their Rye Beach engagement!
